COSTUMES, MAKE-UP & CHAPERONES
COSTUMES - An eye for the clothing of a particulary era of a play is needed to help set the scene, but at the same time authenticity is not the only important part of costuming. Clothing needs to stand out and details have to be large enough for the whole audience to notice. So if you like sewing, altering, decorating and designing then costumes need you!
MAKE UP & HAIR - another area for detail and imagination. Can you create the face of someone 20 years older than the actor playing the part? Or alter a wig for the pantomime dame? We always need help in these two areas, particulary in big shows or in panto when we can have over 30 actors involved.
CHAPERONES - if you feel like we do that it's good to include children in am-dram or possibly you are a parent who's younster wants to be involved then you might consider becoming a chaperone. Without chaperones we aren't able to have under 16s involved in productions. We need trained, checked and registered chaperones of both sexes to be part of a pool that we can call upon. If you are interested then we would love to hear from you.
